no i dont record flat. i set up the Eq on my mixer for when im recording through mics / guitars, then i add more eq to the individual tracks / recordings in cubase

yea my monitors are m-audio studiophiles bx5's. maybe i should try EQing the actaul final mix as well? i haven't tried that before. My acoustic is a Taylor 414LE. its so smooth to play. i havn't heard of Alvarez. Just checkin out some of Ani's music, she sounds just like Emme huh!
